Drayton Insurance Services has grown steadily in both size and reputation since its launch by Susan Howard and Darren Walsgrove almost a decade ago.

Back in March, 1997, the two founding partners were the only staff on the books. The business now has two offices, employs 14 staff, and has expanded both organically and through the acquisition of similar businesses.

The firm is headquartered at Manor Farm Barn, in Drayton – just a few miles from the city of Norwich, which is renowned for its bustling financial services sector. Its second office is in the North Norfolk market town of Aylsham.

Drayton acts as an intermediary for all varieties of commercial and personal general insurance requirements – covering everything from factories, offices and large motor fleets to domestic household insurance and private cars.

In fact we consider it one of our strengths that we offer a friendly, efficient and convenient one-stop shop for busy business clients who can also rely on us to sort out their personal insurance needs if required.

Drayton can provide access to hundreds of products offered by many of the world’s leading insurers, including Norwich Union, NIG, Allianz Cornhill, Zurich, Ansvar, Fortis and MMA – together with access to Lloyds of London.

In recent years we have grown through the acquisition of Aylsham-based Penfold Insurance (2003); David Savage, of Swanton Morley (2004); and the long-established Spooners of Norwich (2005).

Given the competitive nature of the insurance business – especially in the Norwich area – we feel confident that our consistent growth accurately reflects our high standards of service. We anticipate that we will continue to grow, and are currently building an extension to our Manor Farm Barn offices.

But we have no intention of forgetting that the key to our success is that same high standard of personal service. Unlike some other intermediaries we will always be pleased to welcome our clients through the door, and talk to them face-to-face.

That is how relationships and trust are built up. We like to think our clients feel comfortable dealing with us – and we intend to keep it that way.
